Open designer collective

The open designer collective has a different approach towards open design. The collective shows the variety and characteristics of the individual designers. Every designer works independent, but they all work on the same collection chairs. It’s a collection because they all generated form the same description. All the designers are received with the same spoken description of a non-existing design. There is no original, no static image on with you can compare the different designers. Form the description they all design a chair. The collection mirrors how the designer interpreted the description. In a way there all related, the same characteristics and parts are in another way included in the design. With the chair the designers show who they are.  It’s like a buissnisscard for the designer, a way to show themselves.
